TETEA (Together Empowering society To Eliminate the Abuse of women and children) — meaning "Let’s Protect" in Kiswahili — is a multi-county initiative dedicated to eliminating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Violence Against Children (VAC) in Kenya.

Goal
To contribute to the elimination of all forms of GBV and VAC in Kenya by addressing root causes and strengthening response and reporting systems.
Specific Objectives
- Empower young people and local communities to become agents of change on GBV and VAC issues.
- Promote protective beliefs and behaviors that prevent violence.
- Strengthen response mechanisms for GBV and VAC at the community and institutional levels.
Key Outcomes
- Increased awareness and empowerment of young men, women, boys, and girls as change agents.
- Enhanced role of civil society in addressing root causes and promoting prevention.
- Strengthened response systems for GBV and VAC at county level.
Core Activities
- Community-Led Dialogues (CLD) to tackle harmful behaviors.
- Awareness campaigns using various communication approaches.
- Empowerment programs for boys and young men to seek alternatives to violence.
- Capacity building for service providers (government and non-government).
- Regular operation of the VAC response referral platform
